Hi Julie – when you initiate a download of all your photos using the “Download Your Information” feature on Facebook, you can navigate away from the page or even close it after the request has been made. Facebook processes this download in the background, and once it’s ready, you will receive a notification both via the email associated with your Facebook account and a notification within Facebook itself, alerting you that your download is complete and ready to be downloaded. This allows you to continue using Facebook or other tasks without having to wait on the page for the process to complete.

I was wondering if I could still pick you brain here as I’m just finding this post. I am very new to photography and still trying to learn what I can. I have the sony A7iii with the kit lens and I was looking at options for an upgrade for shooting outdoor sports (mainly my son’s soccer/baseball games) do you have any recommendations for my use case?

It’s my opinion they are a greedy and dishonest company. I would not support them after they did this to me and probably hundreds if not thousands of professional photographers.
